Host week is an award-winning partnership between the Big Sky and West Yellowstone Chambers of Commerce. The goal of the program is to familiarize front of line employees with the activities and services available in the area. Employees participating in the program will have all the knowledge they need to be the “best hosts they can be” as they strive to assist guests in the Big Sky and West Yellowstone areas. In short, these employees become YOUR Expanded Sales Force!
How does it work?
-Businesses are encouraged to participate by offering complimentary or greatly reduced services to area employees during the Host Week period. Each year all types of activities and benefits are provided including ziplining, Yellowstone tours, horseback rides, raft trips, fly fishing trips, boat rentals, entrance to the Yellowstone Giant Screen Theatre, museum admissions, shopping, dining and much more!
-These offers need to be honored during “Host Week” (although one or two blackout dates are permitted), which this year begins on Friday, June 2nd and runs through Monday, June 12th
-NEW THIS YEAR: Your offer may be extended beyond Host Week. Just let us know how long you will honor the offer and what the offer will be, if it differs from the original offer.
-Please confirm your participation in Host Week 2017 by filling out the online sign up form NO LATER THAN Friday, May 12th at 5:00 p.m.
-Employees contact each business individually. Nearly 1,500 passports are distributed between the two communities.
-Each front of line employee is provided with their own passport that contains the business offers during Host Week AND an employee Host Week ID number. The employee is to bring their passport with them so that you can verify the number and it is also the number that the employee is to give when making a reservation for any of the offers. You “stamp” their passport, or write your business name over your offer to indicate that it has been used.
Participating in Host Week helps you reach regional frontline staff and promote your services through the greater Yellowstone region. Remember, please sign up to participate online no later than Friday, May 12th at 5:00 p.m.
