Hello Big Sky community!
During the week of January 30th- February 3rd the Big Sky School District will be participating in The Great Kindness Challenge. It is an anti-bullying campaign focused on being kind to one another by completing 50 acts of kindness in one week. There is also a global perspective to the week through a Kind Coins campaign to raise money to build a school in Pakistan. At the end of the week, the district earns the title of being a Certified Kindness District.
We are asking the community to help us kick off the week by participating in a Kindness Tunnel. On Monday, January 30th, we will meet in front of Ophir Elementary from 8:15-8:30am to cheer on students as they arrive at school. We invite you to then go inside and join us for a Kick-Off Pep Rally (8:45-9am) to get the week started!
Businesses—We would love for this week of kindness to spread all throughout Big Sky! If you’re able, pick the week of January 30th- February 3rd to have something special going on in your place of business. Whether it’s a discount, donation bin or free hot chocolate, having a dedicated week of kindness in the community can only be good! If your business is doing something special, contact us and we will start compiling a list. All businesses who let us know about what they’re doing will receive recognition in the BSSD newsletter and a certificate to hang in your business showing you are a Certified Kindness Business.
