Primary Role
A Natural Retreats Retreat Manager combines outstanding interpersonal skills with considerable organisational ability and acute attention to detail.
The Retreat Management role is vital for the success of Natural Retreats both in terms of operating the property efficiently, effectively and profitably and in fulfilling the Natural Retreats vision and service for both our guests and our owners. This is an important role which requires the applicant to be very hands-on have a positive “can do” attitude.
Required Skills
  • Basic mechanical skills with use of hand and small power tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic computer and mobile device skills including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and ability to learn new software programs.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Required Education
  • High school graduate or equivalent required
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality or related field preferred
Primary Role
To maintain the properties in our portfolio to the highest standard, ensuring the highest level of guest service and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Service and Standards
  • To have the guest experience at the forefront of all services and tasks completed.
  • To gain and maintain a strong working knowledge of the destination and be able to effectively communicate this to guests and other departments within NR.
  • To ensure all residences meet NR brand standards in terms of safety, cleanliness, home systems, presentation, and amenities.
  • To ensure all properties are ready, prepped, and staged according to NR brand standards in a timely manner prior to every guest and owner arrival.
  • To ensure open, honest and timely communication with all departments on-site and with home offices.
  • Ensure that all guests receive amazing customer service in all aspects of their stay from arrival through to their departure.
  • To perform meet and greets with guests upon arrival to their rental properties.
Property Management and Maintenance
  • To manage where applicable, any stocks of toiletries, consumables, cleaning products etc. efficiently and within budget, assigning appropriate charges to owners as required by applicable deadlines.
  • To manage the upkeep, maintenance and inventory of the property, and in conjunction with owners, replace items where necessary using approved suppliers and equipment.
  • To gain full knowledge of and maintain all operational systems and services in rental properties as required including gas, water, HVAC, electrical, and entertainment.
  • To coordinate both recurring and one-time contracted services.
  • To conduct property inspections within a timeline outlined by General Manager and as outlined in our management agreements.
Vehicle
  • Drive company vehicle in a safe, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Obey all traffic and local driving laws.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicle.
  • Report any maintenance issues or accidents to General manager and Vehicle Maintenance Manager immediately.
  • Work in conjunction with Transportation Services Manager and/or Vehicle Maintenance Manager to maintain vehicle as needed included but limited to routine maintenance, oil changes, tires, wiper blades, lights, brakes, vehicle registration.
Hours of Work
Due to the nature of the job, the Retreat Manager should be flexible with his/her hours. This is an hourly position requiring 40 hours per week, although there may be weeks where additional hours or work days are required due to business levels.  Weekends are generally working days, which are busy with guest arrivals and departures. 2 days off are allowed per week.  Typical working hours are 10am-6pm, although exact hours on specific days may fluctuate at the discretion of the General Manager.  All Retreat managers are required to be on-call 2 to 3 nights per week.  On call pay is handled in accordance with current on-call pay policies.
