DESCRIPTION
 
The Behavioral Health Coalition Director will identify Big Sky’s systemic psychosocial needs and lead community-wide collaborative efforts to address them using the collective impact model.
Major Responsibilities
  • Ensure that each member and guest receives outstanding guest service in a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
  • Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our members and guests and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
  • Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees, members, and guests at all times.  In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the General Manager or Human Resources immediately. 
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a positive working environment.

Program and Service Development
  • Develop a community-wide vision and strategy for the Behavioral Health system in Big Sky.
  • Create a pathway to care for all Big Sky residents and workers with a mental health or substance use disorder concern 
  • Partner with local nonprofits, public health and safety officials, hospital staff, school administrators, social service agencies, business leaders, and other stakeholders to identify Big Sky’s behavioral health gaps 
  • Identify community-wide goals with associated metrics for community partners to work collaboratively towards.
  • Develop initiatives to fill identified service delivery gaps and mitigate access hurdles including financial, transportation and language barriers 
  • Coordinate partnerships to promote and create activities, events and groups that support wellbeing through self-care, behavioral health first aid, and opportunities for connection 
  • Support the development of innovative strategies to recruit and retain behavioral health providers.
  • Monitor delivery of evidence-based programs and best practice services and evaluate their efficacy to improve quality.
  • Define, track and report back to all stakeholders  community-wide metrics the annual progress of the coalition.
  • Network with other resort communities to learn best practices in behavioral health initiatives 
  • Work to develop programming along a full continuum of care for universal prevention to transfer agreements with acute care facilities.
Administration
  • Understand and communicate mission, values and strategic plans of the coalition
  • Lead marketing and communication efforts related to Big Sky Behavioral Health Coalition
  • Leverage the organization’s collaborative alliance to seek local, regional and national grants to ensure coalition sustainability.
  • Advocate for community needs by staying up-to-date on behavioral health research, community needs assessments, and developments in mental health and substance use disorder treatment 
  • Ensure resources for programs and scholarships are meeting community needs 
  • Uphold the highest ethical standards at all times

Experience/Education Required
  • Passion to serve individuals with behavioral health needs 
  • Proven track record of pursuing strategic opportunities and cultivating partnerships to meet organizational objectives 
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and use data to drive decisions resulting in quality care
  • Proven track record in community organizing
  • Exemplary leadership skills 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 
  •  Exemplary planning and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong public relations skills including the ability to work with local ​government officials and civic groups 
  • Ability to report to work as scheduled and work a flexible schedule as needed, which may include travel to other sites 
  • An undergraduate degree in public health, social work or psychology
  • four years of professional experience working in a healthcare, social service and/or nonprofit field. ​
  • Applicants should have at least two years of experience in collaborative environments.
Experience/Education Preferred
  • Familiarity with the challenges of rural areas or similar resort communities 
  • Knowledge of local and state public health systems, public and private insurance programs, and healthcare environment 
  • Working knowledge of reimbursement structure for public insurance programs like Medicaid and Medicare Compensation and Benefits.
  • Familiarity with evidence based practices, utilization management and outcome measures.
  • Familiarity with state, local and federal regulations regarding behavioral health including the OIG watchlist.
  • LCPC, social work or independently licenses psychologist. 
This is a Full Time position offered in Big Sky, Montana.
